Launch a Website

When your website is ready, submit a web support ticket to publish/launch a website.

Accessibility Requirements

Web Communication will not launch a website with errors and no data in the accessibility column from the Accessibility and Usability panel for published, password-protected, & private pages with authenticated viewers.

Important

We do not launch websites on Fridays.
Please allow at least 4 business days to launch your website.
Important: Anticipate additional time to launch the website when the Accessibility column has errors and no data to resolve before we can launch the website. See Accessibility Requirements above and Requires for WSU Websites below.
New third-level (newdomain.wsu.edu) and fourth-level (newdomain.existingdomain.wsu.edu) domains need approval before launching the website and at least 5 business days to set up the domain and the launch process.

Required for WSU Websites

All content publishers on WSU websites are required to take the digital accessibility assessment.
All content, documents, and media on WSU websites must meet accessibility requirements, WCAG 2.1, Level AA.
