Shortened URLs, often called “Go URLs,” are short website URLs with go.wsu.edu as the base, i.e., go.wsu.edu/something.
When to Use Shortened URLs
Shortened URLs are often used in print material. By shortening the website URL, you reduce the likelihood of errors when people type it out.
Add Campaign Tracking
GoURLs can include campaign tracking information. Adding tracking information to the website URL allows you to track performance in Google Analytics. Use Google Analytics’s Campaign URL Builder to build your tracking link.
