Digital Accessibility is Everyone’s Responsibility

The required digital accessibility assessment is for all WSU employees who create or publish digital content, such as email, documents, multimedia, and websites, are responsible for ensuring it is accessible and provides an inclusive experience.

Accessibility Assessment, User Roles, and Login Procedures

Web Communication is moving to include Digital Accessibility procedures within its WordPress platform per the WSU policy (EP07) and procedures (BPPM 85.55). This will include updating the Web Support Tickets, adding accessibility roles to User Profiles, and connecting the OKTA login with the user’s digital accessibility assessment status.

Web Design System

  • WDS 4.0: We are making progress. Matt should be able to demonstrate our progress at the next Open Lab.
  • Storybook & Figma: Adam is working on integrating Storybook with Figma for WDS 4.0.

  • Feedback Button:
    • Create the button for Feedback and link to the form in an HTML Snippet. Use this CSS code with the button. wsu-button--size-small wsu-feedback
    • Add the HTML Snippet to a widget.
    • Note: Add the Hidden Field to the Gravity form. In Advanced for the Field Settings add HTTP Referer URL from the Merge Tag {··}.
