“Cascade” is WSU’s AI recruiter for prospective Cougs and others seeking information about becoming a Coug. The chatbot is a web companion for enrollment management that can help students, families, counselors and others find answers to questions and locate resources and information. Cascade also can answer questions via, phone, chat and email.
Right now, Cascade is limited to websites primarily used by prospective students (admissions, financial aid, orientation, campus visits, etc.). We’ll be adding another agent for current students soon (summer 2027).
