Content Inventory, Audit & Accessibility Deadline Trainings

Web Communication is offering trainings on content inventory and audit, accessibility, and core concepts.

Join us during Open Lab on Fridays at 10 a.m. from September 2025 to January 2026. See the schedule below for training topics.

Content Inventory and Audit

The content inventory and audit will help organize your website. First, we’ll identify the web pages on the website in your content inventory. Next, you’ll add details about the page’s target audience and purpose. Then, add analytics data, accessibility concerns, and content information. All this information will help you audit, evaluate, and prioritize website updates. It can guide accessibility fixes or aid in transitioning to a web design system. Finally, this inventory and audit will help manage the website effectively.

Accessibility Deadline and Core Concepts

To prepare for the Department of Justice’s deadline on April 24, 2026, we will review the core concepts. These trainings will include common accessibility testing tools, errors and alerts, when to remediate, and best practices.

All Are Welcome

The content inventory and audit training is for anyone who publishes web content. Anyone can do a content inventory and audit. Some tools used work only with WordPress, but others are available for everyone.

It helps website owners, managers, and content publishers organize and manage their content. This is helpful for websites, especially those using the Spine theme. Websites can transition to Web Design System 4, coming later this year. It is also helpful for those using the Spine theme who haven’t transitioned to the Web Design System.

The accessibility and core concepts trainings are for all content publishers. These trainings support you in remediating your content for the Department of Justice’s accessibility deadline. By then, all digital content must meet WCAG 2.1, Level AA.

Schedule

Training sessions will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Fridays during Open Lab. Please use the Open Lab Zoom link to access.
