What We Are Working on
Project Websites
- transfer.wsu.edu: A mini project to update the Transfer site into the WDS theme.
Web Design System
- YouTube Block: An update to the YouTube Block adds a toggle for full-width display. There are a couple of extra steps to take until we move into an updated version of WordPress.
- Editor Updates: Some “Quality of Life” improvements were added to the editor.
- Scheduling: Updates are coming within the week to allow the scheduling of blocks.
- In-page Checker: An in-page checker will check the page for missing links, hashtag links, alternative text, heading structure, and no heading structure. There will also be a link to the WAVE Tool.
- Unit Header: Final changes to the Unit Header should be implemented within the week and available for units to use instead of the current WDS header.
Projects
- GA4: Started adding GA4 to websites. We’ll be reaching to Web Coordinators with updates to their site’s analytics.
Glitch List
- Card Group: The 1:1 image ratio is using the wrong CSS class. It will be updated for the correct one.
- Print Style: Safari browser isn’t playing nicely with our print style. Submit a General Help web support ticket if you notice something printing wonky in Safari or in any other browser
- Fixed: Feeds from news.wsu.edu: News Cards and Card Group are now using the University Organization tag to filter the news feed.
Byte Size Tutorial
- YouTube Block: Use the toggle but add a CSS class to fix it until the WordPress platform is updated.
